Accessibility and Inclusion
At the 18th & Vine Arts Festival Foundation, we are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all community members. Ensuring accessibility for individuals with disabilities is a core part of our mission to celebrate and uplift diverse artists and audiences. Here are the steps we’ve taken to make our events, programs, and venues accessible to everyone:
Wheelchair Accessibility
All festival venues, including the historic Gem Theatre, are wheelchair accessible.
Ramps and elevators are available to ensure easy movement throughout our event spaces.
Designated accessible parking spots are located near festival entrances for your convenience.
Accessible Facilities
Accessible restrooms are available at all event locations.
Festival grounds are designed to accommodate wheelchairs and mobility devices.
Booths and exhibition areas are arranged with wide aisles for easy navigation.
Disability Accommodations for Artists
We recognize the unique needs of artists and offer tailored support to ensure everyone can participate fully:
Assistance with booth setup and breakdown.
Adaptive equipment and resources upon request.
Reserved accessible parking for participating artists.
Quiet spaces for artists who require sensory breaks.
Sign Language Interpretation
ASL interpreters are available for workshops, panel discussions, and performances upon request.
Please get in touch with us at least two weeks in advance to schedule an interpreter for specific sessions.
Support for Neurodiverse Individuals
Quiet zones are provided for attendees needing a calm space away from the crowds.
Our volunteers and staff are trained to provide support for sensory sensitivities and other neurodiverse needs.
